Competition Report - 15 July 2007

Six Woodlane students entered the Essex Open Karate Championships held at Goresbrook and hosted by the Toyakwai Karate association on Sunday 15 July. 

Georgie and Brittany entered the Girls Kumite competition (5th Kyu and above).

Georgie came first followed by Brittany in second place.

 

James entered his first ever competition and won first place in boys Kumite (up to 6th Kyu)

Tayla Holland entered both Kumite and Kata and achieved a third place in senior Kata (3rd to 1st Kyu).

Other Woodlane participants included Ian Chapman, who  entered men's Kumite (up to 4th Kyu), and Daniel who entered Junior Kata (up to 4th Kyu).

The next competition from the Toyakwai Karate association is scheduled for September 30 - again at Goresbrook Leisure Centre.
